(we have checked the companies database and there is no registered company in SA called Worthing Electronics)

PLEASE buy your electronic goods from authorised stores and dealers, there are far too many attractive offers
online that are often 50% cheaper than the actual retail price, that alone says you are going to be scammed.
We found adverts posted by Worthing Electronics on some South African classifieds sites and they only have a
cell number and a gmail address as contact details, that's another big warning sign because any legitimate
company claiming to be an authorised Apple Distributor will not use a cell number and gmail address as their
primary contact details. Some of their ads posted here and here.

Email from our readers Reads:

IPAD for sale or Apple PC or any electronics.

On Sale by Worthing Electronics, they also go by various other names.

They appear to be based in way out places such as Bloemfontein or polokwane. Even have business addresses and office hours times.
But the shop doesn’t exist, it is a scam, they operate in a huge syndicate.

Always posting their adverts in smaller town internet publication, They never advertise in the larger online classified.

They claim 24hr delivery countrywide through fedex. And they claim to be apple retailers.
But when u phone them, they sound more like Nigerians.

BE WARNED
I have been scammed out of my money.
I have purchased an Apple IPAD from them, paid them in Full through EFT.
They promise 24hrs delivery and 30 days money back guarantee.
U get a tracking number from a bogus courier company which they say is part of Fedex which will deliver to your door.
Then u see your parcel getting tracked from the UK.
Everything seems fine until it comes to SA, then its tracked as HELD BY CUSTOMS.
Then u get a call from them saying to pay an extra R2500 for customs and they’ll pay you later.
If you fall into this trap, you will be now be swindled out of your money twice.
They promise you your 30 day money back, but nothing happens.

So, please be warned of all these so called companies like Worthing electronics or the like.
Which are not based in the so called big cities..advertising in smaller classifieds.

Do you homework properly and find out if this is a legitimate south african company.
U rather go directly to them if it’s a legal store than await this nightmare.
Or buy from reputable and recognized online stores who advertise in larger networks.

Don’t be caught out of your hard earned money.
